#2. Beech Bend Splash Lagoon, Bowling Green
Beech Bend Splash Lagoon, with over 15 acres of water fun, is perfect for a hot summer day.
The park has something for everyone, with a lazy river, a wave pool, and slides ranging from mild to wild. Kids will love the pirate ship and the splash pad, while adrenaline junkies can take on the extreme slides.
There’s also a cafe on-site, so you can refuel after a day of fun in the sun. Beech Bend Splash Lagoon is located in Bowling Green, just off I-65.
The park is open seasonally from May to September, so be sure to check the website for dates and times.
#3. Hurricane Bay, Louisville
Hurricane Bay at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom features more than 50 rides and attractions, including water slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river.
Hurricane Bay also has a number of unique attractions, such as the world’s tallest water coaster, the Mammoth. The park is well-maintained and offers a variety of amenities, such as cabanas, locker rentals, and a beach shop.

#6. Russell Sims Aquatic Center, Bowling Green
The Russell Sims Aquatic Center has two outdoor pools, a splash pad, and a lazy river.
There is also diving well with two diving boards. The water park is open year-round and offers swim lessons, water aerobics, and pool parties. One of the best things about the Russell Sims Aquatic Center is that it is affordable.

There is also a kids’ area with smaller slides and a sprayground. For those looking for a more extreme experience, the park offers two tandem slides that drop riders from a height of 30 feet.
Venture River Water Park is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Admission is $20 for adults and $15 for children ages 3-12.
